Oh no – more fire!?!

Well, I thought I was about to have another kind of fire experience on my way to Bendigo. I had to pull over to the side of the highway as a very loud noise began under the bonnet and the car was enveloped in black smoke. The cause is still unclear but I had an exciting journey back home in a very impressive truck carrying the car.
I still had to get to Bendigo for the interview and eventually set out in what used to be called the ‘cop’ car after her number plate COP… She’s a very ancient tiny Honda once owned and dearly loved by my husband’s mum. And, she was not my first choice for any trip longer than twenty minutes!
However, we bravely set out together and did get there – and home again – driving strictly at Lucy’s pace and ignoring rude modern cars with lots of power who tried to get us to go faster than we wanted. I gave her the new name on the drive to help her become like a little dog I knew. Lucy, the dog, was courageous, persistent and loving. Despite her small size she would protect her loved ones ferociously. I figure Lucy, the car, showed some of those characteristics yesterday and will take after her namesake even more from now on.

I love that you have renamed your car after such a wonderful dog. They can be amazing companions and loving, lifelong friends! I could never love without a dog in my home. Cheers Kate
